I had mine working just fine (using Fedora 21) no problem.
I actually turned the Mic off, since it did not allow the headset to go in
battery save mode, due to audio streamed towards the host.

I used pulseaudio volume control (pavucontrol) to adjust the audio profile.
Click the Configuration tab, select 'analog stereo Output and Input' for your
headset. That should enable the mic.
