And I think we need to include btmon traces here since they are more detailed in the first place. I also wonder what exit sniff mode has to with this. We are doing active mode because we have to send OK as response. However it might be better to not actually do that in the first place. Since we can control the active mode behavior on a per socket basis. For it seems that trace is with this patch. And also does the same when entering sniff mode fails. Certain headsets such as the Motorola H350 will reject SCO and eSCO connection requests while the ACL is transitioning from sniff mode to active mode. Add synchronization so that SCO and eSCO connection requests will wait until the ACL has fully transitioned to active mode. With this commit message in mind from the original commit, I wonder if trying to call hci_sco_setup at all when sniff mode and exit sniff mode returns an error is a good idea at all. This means that adding a timeout for SCO connection setup might be the right solution, but it also means that we do not really need to bother with anything regards to command status with sniff mode or exit sniff mode. It sounds to me this should be written to be plain and simple. If mode switch is needed, we trigger it and delay the SCO setup until mode change event. The error case happens due to the timeout and not by some errors from the command status from sniff mode or exit sniff mode.
