https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100181 Bug ID: 100181 Summary: hcitool breaks bluetooth Product: Drivers Version: 2.5 Kernel Version: 3.19.0-18-generic Hardware: All OS: Linux Tree: Mainline Status: NEW Severity: low Priority: P1 Component: Bluetooth Assignee: linux-bluetooth@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Reporter: pcborenstein@xxxxxxxxx Regression: No hcitool will cause bluetooth to stop working on my computer if I give it a bad low energy address, "hcitool lecc 123". After this command, I cant connect to any bluetooth devices (including normal bluetooth devices). I tested this using a Jambox speaker. The command eventually give the message "Could not create connection: Connection timed out", but the problem persists. The problem goes away when I turn bluetooth off and on again in system settings. My bluez version is 4.101-0ubuntu25. I use a Plugable bluetooth dongle because my laptop doesn't have bluetooth built in. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. -- To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-bluetooth" in
