[1.] 168c:0032 ath3k built-in bluetooth cannot load firmware - sporadic

[2.] Full description of the problem/report:

    This is on an ASUS N550JV, on 3.15.0-031500rc4-generic.
    (using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Trusty Tahr; first occured in Ubuntu 13.10).
Basically, the Bluetooth is sporadically available after restart/login. When not available, we get an error msg in dmesg about a patch that failed to load

    Things already tried (to no much avail):
     - Update BIOS to latest version
     - Install "bluetooth" package
- Enable ath9k bt coexistence (as per http://5thpeephole.blogspot.be/2013/10/install-ubuntu-1310-in-asus-n550jv.html)
     - unload / reload ath3k module:
       $ sudo modprobe -r ath3k; sleep 1; sudo modprobe ath3k
     - Try latest kernel 3.15.0-031500rc4-generic
