Better to capture the error before nullifying skb, like below

That is exactly what he is doing, and actually it seems to only be
doing that because it later calls kfree_skb.

Yes, it is right, but there is another issue that it setting skb to NULL before kfree_skb(skb)

causes memory leaks, and I will delete "skb = NULL;"
