mimicking a bluetooth headset

Hi,

I'm working on a new project, and I have an embedded PC that needs to
connect to a mobile phone as if its a bluetooth headset (i.e. from phone,
find device and connect - pc then auto accepts connection).

In addition, it needs to connect to a separate headset device, such that
it can act as an audio proxy (as well as other purposes).

I'm guessing that I'll need to write some proprietary code based on bluez,
and have just started reading the code, however I would appreciate any
info you might have that would give me a good starting off point.

Maybe these features already exist?

TIA,

Steve
