Hi Eric,
Sorry for the slow response.
What kind of things you are looking for in a getting started guide?
Would stuff in the following wiki section be useful?

In terms of sharp corners, things work in the configurations/kernel
versions that we have been doing our testing with. However, we have
got report of issues in other configurations and kernel versions; we'd
like to think that there is no good way to make progress on that front
short of other people testing/using it and that is already happening.
