Btw. when not crating sounds/music it's ALSA, not Jack, not Pulseaudio.
I do use pulse->jack if I need audio from/to a normally desktop source
such as Skype for recording, etc. But my answer was Jack as that is what I
use in most cases. The pulse uses are fringe uses.
