Exactly the margin I preferred in the past with my AIWA and Sony DAT
recorders, but I never noticed anything when I mastered exactly to 0.0
either, however often in the past I mastered between -0.5 and -1.5 or
even -2 and today I master in a range from 0.0 to -3.0 and seldom even
-6.0. There's nothing bad audible neither at 0.0 and also not if it's
very low, e.g. -10.0, only the loudness does differ, at least for my
hearing.
