The 'Laws of Sound' remind me a bit of the way chemistry evolved
just before the really fundamental issues started to be understood,
e.g. <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phlogiston_theory>...
Not entirely stupid as an idea, but it leads nowhere. If anyone
would formulate such a theory today, it would be taken either as
a joke or as a sign of complete ignorance. And if it goes on for
years, as is the case with this 'audio format', it's no longer
a joke.
