I am trying to build abx tester from http://phintsan.kapsi.fi/abx.html

It doesn't work here.

[rocketmouse@archlinux Desktop]$ abx AxelF.wav AxelFMP3-108.wav
ALSA lib confmisc.c:1286:(snd_func_refer) Unable to find definition
'cards.HDSPM.pcm.front.0:CARD=0'
ALSA lib conf.c:4246:(_snd_config_evaluate) function snd_func_refer
returned error: No such file or directory

It looks like it's trying to use "cards.HDSPM.pcm.front.0:CARD=0" and such to play the audio, and failing. You might want to check if you have an ~/.asoundrc, an /etc/asound.conf or similar containing those lines and, if so, rename that file temporarily.

If you have WINE installed it might be easiest to use it to install and run foobar2000 with the ABX plugin.
