My apologies, I missed the point :S.

Just about to install what I think is a real-time linux kernel on the Linux Mint installation at home. Mint offers low latency kernels such as 3.5.0.25. No RT kernel in sight it seems. Are the low latency kernels just another term for real-time kernels ?
