Hi Julien,

it's not an answer to your question, but already an assumption, since
QjackCtl only provides to show aliases for Jack clients, I guess there
are no aliases for ALSA MIDI devices.

If aliases should be available, it would be interesting for me too,
because 2 of my MIDI interfaces share the same name.

Card 1: TerraTec EWX24/96 at 0xbf00, irq 20
Card 2: TerraTec EWX24/96 at 0xbb00, irq 21

The different IRQs and card numbers aren't helpful for auto connecting
MIDI, at least not in the ways I did it until now.
