As previously hinted at, the controversial wallpaper ships as default with the latest KXstudio release.

falktx isn't on this list to explain for himself so this is how he explains the wallpaper on the KX site:

"This release is dedicated to Hatsuke Miku, a [virtual] Vocaloid singer that recently has seen original artwork released under a Creative Commons license.
We believe that actions like this one (and others in 2012) indicate that the world embraces open-source culture more and more, every day."

see http://kxstudio.sourceforge.net/News

I can see how some can see this wallpaper as slightly childish but offensive? Really? Thats a sure sign of a low 'culture' tolerance threshold if ever I heard one! If that upsets you, pretty much all modern media - ads and music vids especially - are going to have you in tears of despair. I can't realistically classify that picture as soft porn like most music vids and many ads these days are, not that that'd be an improvement but its below tame.

Is this after an upgrade from Ubuntu Lucid? So what is the name of
Ubuntu that is installed on your machine now?

P.S. The person who did/condoned that should be relegated to the

P.P.S Always keep backups of your configuration files! :)

P.P.P.S Ubuntu should be informed, this doesn't sound like something the
Ubuntu business would like.

Before you go on with dissing and bashing, you may wane have a look at the picture in question:

Besides from that I didn't like it as well, it is clearly just a "ART Picture".

and here is a entry in Wikipedia which explain what the meaning of this picture is:
