Don't know - that's why I was asking!

I was thinking maybe problems with binary incompatibilities? I have seen instructions for some programs that suggest including 32 bit libraries within a 64 bit distro, which sounds fiddly but is,perhaps very simple - it's just not something I have had to deal with before...
