Ecasound offers an object it refers to as "loop" which is basically a sink you can write one or more streams to and read from, offering an almost limitless level of complexity in your routing graph. It can be controled via CLI, read-line interactive mode, or your favourite language (perl, python, ruby, C, bash, etc.).
