You might be right. In professional studios switching between different
monitors is common. Dunno how much inches those hole-in-the-wall
speakers are, but not every studio has got such monitors, some have
smaller ones and it anyway works.
At home I do comparisons between CDs and my own music and I'm switching
between different less good speakers. I guess issues already start by
old capacitors for the amps.
Who has got the money to maintain homestudios, broadcasting studios,
film studios etc. regarding to optimized audio quality? The error chain
in such studios IMO is endless.
