Dunno how much inches those hole-in-the-wall speakers are, but not every studio has got such monitors, some have smaller ones and it anyway works. At home I do comparisons between CDs and my own music and I'm switching between different less good speakers. I guess issues already start by old capacitors for the amps. Who has got the money to maintain homestudios, broadcasting studios, film studios etc. regarding to optimized audio quality?
