A typical setup will be a pink noise generator (or perhaps something
more tuneful), a resonant filter or two, a phaser, a delay and a
saturator, all connected together more or less in series with a
feedback loop, plus various LFOs and random generators all modulating
the units and each other. Often I'll hook up a midi controller to aid
in finding the sweet spot where it's chaotic enough to hold my
attention without blowing up into horrible noise - which can often
take quite a while!
