[root@coyote johnny_cash]# /usr/local/bin/midicomp californiaGirls.mid | grep Arb|wc -l 6818 [root@coyote johnny_cash]# /usr/local/bin/midicomp smas6984.mid |grep Arb| wc -l 0 The 2nd file is about 26 seconds of Tennessee Flat Top Box from Cash's AmericanIV cd. I constructed a new file, using grep -v Arb to remove that stuff, and now Rosegarden is happy, and plays it at normal speed. This is a very powerful way to fix buggy .mid files, thank you very much!
