Hello Alexandre,
I'm the author of that article and your question actually raises doubts
here why one would need Xephyr for this. The -s setting of ffmpeg should
suffice and by omitting the -i option it should start recording your
current display if I'm correct. I think the main reason why I do it this
way is because like this I have a separate display (shown in a separate
window) with the session I want to record and I can start and stop
recording this session from another display.
