Rich, I completely agree that it's ok that Neutrik breaks after many years, because, as I mentioned before, other connectors are quasi unusable, e.g. 'semi-connecting' a jack to get a connection is bad, very, very bad. Yes, Amphenol is what we use here for kleine Tuchel today. Hard to get and very expensive here. I try to get something for homerecording that is reliable (not for a job, hence I need to pay for it myself ;). You are not the first who 'exhorted' me that Neutrik still is the best, even while this issue is well known. The problem for me is, that I guess the plastic will break, even if I should store some connectors for emergency cases, without using them. For a professional studio exchange of old by new is a continuous process, but at home those things get broken at the most worse time and then there's no replacement at hand. Btw. those Rean connectors are Neutrik: http://www.neutrik.com/content/home/home.aspx?portal=re&language=1 But I've got no experiences with those connectors, here the Rean connectors are not older than 2 month ;).
