Yes, you will. All displays past the CRT-age run at 60Hz...
That's the truth. But non-CRT technology doesn't flicker, because the screen line doesn't fade between refreshes on LCD. Once an LCD is lit, it stays lit until the system turns it off.

Every computer I've seen with an LCD display (laptop, desktop machine drive an LCD) says it's running at 60Hz. Pretty much regardless of OS, too (Windows and Linux both report the same).
