I can run

without getting an error message, it's the same for

but if I run qjackctl I get

lsmod | grep snd
you will need to load the alsa sequencer module.

The "Xilinx RME Hammerfall DSP MADI" is the RME HDSPe AIO, shouldn't the
name be correct for the new driver/firmware?

the MADI, AIO and raydat cards are very similar hardware and use the same driver, looks like there's some mixup in there. you can ignore it, but yes, it should be fixed.

When running Jack, instead of showing the name DSP MADI and two MIDI
devices for the DSP MADI, there's no name and only one MIDI device for
the first card, hence the driver/firmware was switched?

unlikely. the real hdspm MADI has three midi devices.
