I suppose it is really best to start with the osc_server supplied with liblo, since it just outputs messages. If afterwards, we feel confident enough - meaning me, I suppose Lieven is - then we might tackle hexter, since it has a text-UI, where you can recheck. It accepts program/bank change, quitting (without parameters), show, hide, control and configure. No idea, what they do, but I seem to remember, that the code was cleanly written, so it should become clear, at least the parameters.
