Thanks for pointing that out Pablo - thats half of the script sorted
out. Problem now is that there doesn't seem to be a quick and easy way
to extract the wavs from a .sf2 under lx. You can export them one at a
time from swami but thats the only way I've found so far although I'm
sure there will be a few apps that will run under wine capable of
doing this. I was surprised fluidsynth can't do this.

Here's one handy option, which I've confirmed runs perfectly under Wine:

It's an SFZ editor, but it can convert SF2 files to SFZ format, and in doing so, it dumps out all of the individual samples as WAVs.
