IIRC /etc/kernel-img.conf needs to have "do_initrd=Yes" which is set on
new 64studio/openDAW installations but may not be on by default on sid.
You can run
  `update-initramfs -c -k 2.6.33.7-rt29-multimedia-amd64; update-grub2`
manually after installing the kernel. Sorry for the inconvenience. I'll
see if we can work-around this if it really is the issue.


Thanks Robin for the pointer. No initrd indeed, but do_initrd is set to yes. I'll try creating the initrd manually like you suggest.
