Yes, depending on the setup to produce the IR file it could included both. Often you have also some artefacts from the signal witch was used to produce the IR file, witch wasn't the case with the files I mention above in this thread. I prefer to talk about a sound colour (in non technical language). The difference between the plain signal and the signal send to a amp, Speaker, Hall, Coffee-cup, or what ever you could imagine. When you search the net about Impulse Response Convolution you will find crazy stuff. You could use it for match more then plain reverb. > > the fact is the wiki talks about "convolution reverb", but I used to > think that amp emulation was just a matter of equalization Not only equalization, re/ver/vi/bration takes also a role. > > renato > _______________________________________________ > Linux-audio-user mailing list > Linux-audio-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > http://lists.linuxaudio.org/listinfo/linux-audio-user _______________________________________________ Linux-audio-user mailing list Linux-audio-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.linuxaudio.org/listinfo/linux-audio-user
