Hi, I can't remember reading anything about this, so I hope you can
help me out. I upgraded my RT kernel from my old trusty 2.6.31.12-rt20
that I had been using for a good while, and up to 2.6.33.7-rt29. Now,
when I try to record anything in ardour, the input volume is below
audible. The indicators on my sound card suggest the sound is close to
clipping level, which earlier has been more than enough, and the sound
is indeed coming through, since when I normalize whatever I have
recorded in ardour, what I actually played shows up. Any ideas what
might be causing this?

Experience with previous kernels and the Audigy sound card is that modules have on occasion been broken. Open alsamixer and closely scrutinize all the settings. One module had the analog and digital out switch functionality reversed where on was off!
