 I use a good sound card with RCA outs, a ground-loop filter, and an
RCA-->1/4" converter, and play through a 1962 Epiphone vacuum-tube
amplifier usually.  I had never heard a piano cry, before doing this.  I
also sometimes record direct to hard drive, and play direct through
house PA.
