I've just installed a new motherboard in my computer and am having some problems with the ALSA port numbering. The computer has audio on board, plus a Ensoniq pci card used only for midi (via a gameport). It seems that sometimes, after booting, the card is assigned port 16:0, sometimes 20:0. Very annoying! Is there a way to force a consistent port value? Here's my output: bob$ aplaymidi -l Port Client name Port name 14:0 Midi Through Midi Through Port-0 20:0 Ensoniq AudioPCI ES1371 -- **** Listen to my CD at http://www.mellowood.ca/music/cedars **** Bob van der Poel ** Wynndel, British Columbia, CANADA ** EMAIL: bob@xxxxxxxxxxxx WWW: http://www.mellowood.ca _______________________________________________ Linux-audio-user mailing list Linux-audio-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.linuxaudio.org/listinfo/linux-audio-user
