oh, funny you should bring up the an200 - I've had my eye on one for
some time, but can't seem to get one in the price range that I need
(read: poor).  I've always enjoyed the sound of yamaha's stuff - I
owned an S80 for a long time and gigged it heavily, and while some of
the patches aren't very cutting-edge compared to the motif series,
that board could cut through a mix like crazy and *always* sounded
good.  I was playing with a crossover country band at the time, and
there was a jazz guitar patch that sounded spot-on like a pedal steel
guitar.  little bit of pitch bend + a volume pedal, and I scared the
living hell out of guitar players!!!  ("where's the steel?  I hear
it...but I don't see it!")
