And A/B loops will click, too. :-)

David: On a PIII Celeron 800MHz with 384M RAM I can get it 
to work with:

    $ jackd -R -d alsa -P -p 4096 -n 2 -r 48000

...but you have to keep the stretch in +/- 25% and pitch in 
+/- 5 steps.
