Thanks for the hint!!
I tried to build it with

 ./configure --with-lv2=/usr/local/include/slv2/

that does not check /usr/include
where slv-core is installed.

So now I build it OK but it still hangs listing the LV2-plugins. Last
laugh was
liblrdf fatal

This I know from Ardour but Ardour wont crash and all the plugins I
have, work OK with Ardour and elven.

so waht could this be...
