Among other things, it used a 68000 > processor, not a 6809. > I had MIDI working on a Radio Shack Color Computer with a 6809 playing multiple channels to an outboard synth. No problems, esp. considering that the computer had to emulate a midi port with a bit-banging serial port. Mine you, that was all the computer was doing :) But, I still do wonder why with the super CPU speeds, advanced instruction sets, buckets of memory, cache, fast storage, etc it's still a challenge to do proper midi or recording on our computers. -- **** Listen to my CD at http://www.mellowood.ca/music/cedars **** Bob van der Poel ** Wynndel, British Columbia, CANADA ** EMAIL: bob@xxxxxxxxxxxx WWW: http://www.mellowood.ca _______________________________________________ Linux-audio-user mailing list Linux-audio-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.linuxaudio.org/listinfo/linux-audio-user
