Thanks.  This means that the capture problem is not related with the
sample clock synchronization.

There is no recorded data.

Floating-point samples (as used by e.g. Jack) don't show what bits the
device sent; please use arecord, like this:

arecord -D hw:UA1000 -f S32 -r 44100 -c 10 something.wav


I'm still investigating the crash.
