Sorry, I don't think I can be of any help, as I'm sure you've probably 
already come across these things I found when googling about it.

I found an article linking to a YouTube video about it, but sadly that 
video "has been removed by the user", so no joy there. Perhaps it was an 
upload of a video about the instrument from one of the band's DVDs, 
which I've seen mentioned -- which might be why it was removed.

A note here, says it's a string instrument, so could it perhaps use a 
guitar midi-pickup?

Anyway, just to say, many thanks, I really enjoyed that. The Leode was 
interesting and the music was great -- I really must buy some more Ange 
(I only have Au-Dela Du Delire) and if that cover is indicative of what 
Lazuli are like, then they sound to be worth investigating further.
