I have experience with the Echo AudioFire range, I bought a 12 great unit.
Not got the 2 channel one too for on the go playback/mixing.
There's an 8 channel one too, wouldnt really advise it, but it might fit the budget
a bit better... the 12 has the advantages of the 4 led signal meter, the 8 has 2 preamps
and SPDIF.
Take from that what you will! (Theyre still firewire as Scott said.)
