Thanks, Geoff, for your description of the Guitar processor with USB interface. There seem to be a lot of devices hitting the market with standard USB-audio interfaces on them lately. USB microphones, USB turntables, USB mixers, etc. This is good, but I can't for the life of me think of a practical use for a single-channel USB device like this guitar processor, or a USB microphone. Each USB device would have its own A/D converter, running on its own clock, right? So it would be an exercise in frustration if you were to try to record a simple guitar and vocal using a USB guitar processor/DI, and a USB microphone, right? How would you deal with the inevitable clicks and pops? -- Rick Green "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." -Benjamin Franklin "As for our common defense, we reject as false the choice between our safety and our ideals." -President Barack Obama 20 Jan 2009 _______________________________________________ Linux-audio-user mailing list Linux-audio-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.linuxaudio.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-audio-user
