1. Get the firmware.
These devices require a firmware download before an operating system
driver (e.g. ALSA's snd-usb-audio) can access them.

http://usb-midi-fw.sourceforge.net/

2. emerge sys-apps/fxload
3. (In a single line and assuming it's your path)
fxload -I /usr/local/share/usb/maudio/MidiSport4x4.ihx  -D
/proc/bus/usb/??/??

??/?? are the values given by  lsusb
4. modprobe snd-usb-audio
