Well, I've certainly had my fair share of issues with Jaunty:

Like Emiliano I've replaced the Jaunty-supplied rt kernel with a custom 
one, I think it was recommended on one of the Ubuntu forums. And as you 
can read in my article, that was only one of the problems I encountered 
with Jaunty. However, I must also note that I've been using that system 
more often, and I'm pretty happy with it these days (not too happy about 
the GNOME desktop though, I still haven't replaced it).

I've not kept up with development of Jaunty or UStudio, sorry, so you'll 
have to look in the forums and/or archives to see what's new kernel-wise.
