Well, on my bog-standard VIA-based laptop (Slack 12, stock 2.6 kernel, driver snd-via82xx), I just had three instances of mplayer playing three different radio streams at once, two through ALSA and one through OSS(-emu) and vice versa. I made sure my .asoundrc was out of the way first, and it Just Worked. So perhaps the first thing to do is bounce the .asoundrc out of the way and see if that changes anything? _______________________________________________ Linux-audio-user mailing list Linux-audio-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.linuxaudio.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-audio-user
