You can be fairly certain that none of the cryptographic filesystems
consume any significant resources on a Linux system when there is no I/O
to that filesystem.

So copy or move your files into that filesystem, type sync, and when
sync finishes you can be reasonably certain that the filesystem will
have no effect on your next xruns ... provided you don't access it.
