I've never used FL Studio and my exposure to GarageBand is pretty minimal, so not sure if it compares well or not. One thing that was odd about it was that when I tried to set the audio output to ALSA, it kept defaulting back to 'Dummy', so I started up jack and used that for the output, and it worked quite well then. It could use some enhancements to make things a little more intuitive (like connecting a track to a specific FX bus, it wasn't immediately apparent), maybe something more akin to the Reaper "connect anything to anything" style of routing, or drag a track icon onto the FX bus or something like that. But pretty nifty little app. I don't do looped stuff much, but would use this if I needed something like that. I haven't tried to use it with external MIDI routing but hopefully it supports that kind of thing. -- Brett ------------------------------------------------------------ "In the rhythm of music a secret is hidden; If I were to divulge it, it would overturn the world." -- Jelaleddin Rumi _______________________________________________ Linux-audio-user mailing list Linux-audio-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.linuxaudio.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-audio-user
