KMidimon 0.7.1 is based on KDE4. KDE4 libraries and base packages are required  
(with -devel support, if you are trying to compile from source). I'm not  
sure about the Arch package names, but probably something like this:
http://www.archlinux.org/packages/?sort=&arch=&repo=&q=kdebase
http://www.archlinux.org/packages/?sort=&arch=&repo=&q=kdelibs

Anyway, please be sure to *NOT* use the outdated, ancient, buggy version that 
is available in AUR: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=4472

If you need a legacy version for KDE3, please download and build the release 
0.5.1, that is still available here:
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/kmetronome/kmidimon-0.5.1.tar.gz
