I got the cheapest Samsung miniDV camera available and it works fine with Linux.
Picture quality not great but you get what you pay for ;)

I don't know what's "cheapo" for you, but I can recommend the Samsung
SC-D382. I bought an "open box" unit for $99US, it has a Firewire port
that works perfectly with apps like dvgrab, Kino, and LiVES.

Thanks. Would be cool the get something below 100 euro's. Maybe 2nd hand or maybe the prices in Tjech Republic are a bit lower.

Any other suggestions?
