Very nice article. I was slightly surprised he didn't mention PD given the Max/MSP angle - it implied the old workflow wasn't possible in Linux with my quick reading of it. I think that was addressed in the comments. The Mac fanboi backlash is by turns amusing and irritating but always unsurprising.
