The Debian package is 0.4.0. Work quite nicely indeed, no latency one can 
sense!

start up jack
start up a2jmidi_bridge (since I have had problems with some programs using -X 
in the jack startup.

connect keyboard -> a2j in alsa pane
connect a2j -> connie in jack midi pane
connect connie -> system out in audio pane

have lots of fun.
