I agree, rezound could be the best linux audio editor but unfortunately doesn't play so well with JACK (it causes many xruns). Do you know if it's still developed? Once fixed the JACK problems, could be my editor of choice. Also sweep is a good editor (need to recompile the debian version to use it with JACK through alsa's jack plugin) and does update the selection while looped. Fo trivial editing tasks and some simple recording I use mhwaveedit which in my experience is the one that integrates better (and natively) with JACK. Has painful LADSPA integration, though: like a long list of unsorted plugins... I don't use snd much but I see it has a lot of potential (snd-ls comes to mind) - it also give me sporadic xruns, but not as much as rezound. > Oh, and personally I'm not very fond of Audacity, too. Its popularity comes maybe from the fact of being croos platform, and relatively simple to use (simpler than snd at least ;) Its multitrack facilities make it an ideal tool for podcasters, too. > Ciao Ciao -- Emiliano Grilli Linux user #209089 http://www.emillo.net _______________________________________________ Linux-audio-user mailing list Linux-audio-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.linuxaudio.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-audio-user
