You mean like this:

scons LIBDIR=/usr/lib

atte@vestbjerg:~/software/ffado/libffado-2.0-rc1$ ll /usr/lib/libffado.so
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 11M 2009-03-30 12:11 /usr/lib/libffado.so

That works, thanks.

I'm still wondering why jack started from qjackctl is not the same as 
started from the commandline. Had other experiences like this before...
