Please post these errors.
Maybe we can help fix them, or maybe you have found a genuine bug.

It does create one, and possibly two libs.

The main difficulty with packaging SC would be that the lang has to be 
compiled 32bit, and it has quite a lot of dependencies on other libs, which 
then would also be available for 32bit.
Of course, this is only a problem for the 64bit Debian, but I could imagine 
that this poses a problem for it becoming officially part of Debian.
